- End of rule of English East India Company.
- Queen Victoria's Proclamation of 1858
- BOARD OF CONTROL and COURT OF DIRECTORS were abolished.
- A SECRETARY OF STATE for India and INDIAN COUNCIL were created.
- Amry was reorganized. Indians were forbidden to handle arms.
- Right to adoption was given to Indian rulers. All policies of annexations were brought to an end.
- GOVERNOR GENERALS were replaced by VICEROYS
